Change confluence footer using custom plugin approach like jira

I have created a plugin to change footer in jira and using plugin approach and working as expected ie.,~/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/plugins/footer/footer.vm created and uploaded here to use.

Is their any way to change footer using plugin approach in confluence?

My query is, we have a directory in jira like ~/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/plugins/  to upload plugins and run. And i have did the same to change footer in jira and its working.

As same, is their any way to upload custom plugins in CONFLUENCE.
