Change status on a template board

We use a template to create projects in Jira for our company.
We use the kanban with company and a template board.

In that template board we use the stages (Columns) TODO, In Progress, Review and Done
For some reason in the TODO I have now for all issues created the status TODO. (with a dot.  ) When users create an issue they now see TODO and TODO.

I have no clue how it got in the template board. But I also do not see any solution to remove it and set it back to TODO. Can oneone help of give some advice?
