Changing the create date

I'm bringing up JIRA as an Admin. We want to start tracking existing issues, so we need to retroactively construct a timeline of them. How can I change (backdate) the create date and dates of comments?

Doing it in the database is the only way for that I guess! Find the appropriate tables (jiraissue & jiraaction for issue dates and comment dates) and edit the dates.

Make sure JIRA is offline while you do that and do a full reindex after JIRA is back up.
