Check User is existing or not in account?

HI  All

          How we check user is existing or not in account? Which  API need to use? Currently i am using  https://actjira.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/user? API. But now  getting error 404 particular user not existing while searching. How can i overcome this issue?

The error is telling you that the user is not there - that's the check for whether they exist!

Thats i understood. Instead of giving exception is there any Boolean type value is available. Because of exception i not able to do any further process. i mean user not there i need  to add thats user by API
