Child Issues not reflected on timeline

mdiaz September 26, 2024

Despite having the premium plan which includes a feature that enables child issues being displayed on the timeline view, we are only able to see the parent level dates in a company managed project.

Process:

- We created a task called " Test"  and filled in Start/Due Dates.
- Added 2 child issues under " Test" issue and also filled in Start/ Due Dates.
- Enabled child issues to display under Timeline settings.

Hi @mdiaz , welcome to the community!

As far as I understand, you may need to enable showing child issues on your timeline through some configuration:

  1. From your board, select More (•••) in the top right corner, then select Board settings. Alternatively, from your timeline, select (...) > Configure Timeline from the upper right of your timeline view (next to Export).

  2. Make sure that Timeline is selected from the list, then toggle the switch for Child level issue scheduling.

    • Those planning in scrum can also choose whether your timeline shows child issues based on their sprint dates or using their exact start and end dates by selecting Visualize child issues by sprints or Schedule child issues by dates respectively.

You may find this Atlassian document helpful: Enable child-issue planning on the timeline.

I hope this helps.

Hi there! These settings have already been configured and the problem persists. Are there any further solutions to this problem, a resolution is needed as soon as possible. image (14).png
