Child issues on Next Gen Roadmap View

Hi

Do you know how to enable the functionality to expand a roadmap Epic to display any associated child issues on that roadmap? The documentation online suggests this is possible, however I do not have this option on my Next Gen project in Jira

You can not expand the Roadmap to see children of Epics.
