Cloning Records with Tasks/Subtasks, but keeping them independent of each other

Is it possible to create a template EPIC/Story, clone it, with the underlying tasks & sub-tasks, but keep the cloned record, and its tasks/sub-tasks, independent from the original?

Try Easy Tempaltes for Jira add-on.

You can save a template based on Story+Subtasks. Then, when creating a new issue from template - subtasks will be pupulated automatically, independent from the original.
