Company is splitting into two divisions...need to 'clone' of existing instance into new instance

Our Company uses JIRA instance say www.example1.atlassian.net for Confluence, JIRA Service Management and JIRA Software. we want to migrate some of the Projects to new instance.

I want to know what is the best approach

--- to migrate the Projects from Confluence, JIRA Service Desk and JIRA Cloud.

---What should be the order to between Confluence, JIRA Service Desk and JIRA Cloud for migration ?.

--- should we also need to export the users ?

---- What will be the pros and cons for the migration ?

I don't think it matters. Perhaps, someone else can correct me on this.

Yes. If you don't migrate the users, they won't have access to the new instance

What will be the pros and cons for the migration ?

Perhaps, someone else can chime in. AFAIK, if the new instance already has data, it is going to be a bit of a pain as described in Merge multiple Jira cloud sites

You can also use our Jira cloud app Deep Clone for Jira to bulk clone thousands of issues between instances.

Doing that you could make sure that you don't loose any data, by keeping the original issues in the source instance.
