Component Position

Hey Community,

is there a JIRA option to change the Component position in the list? For example I added "other" in my Components but I want in at the last position. By default JIRA sorts the Components by name.

Start numbering the components? 10 name_1, 20 name_2 30 name_3, etc.

This gives you the option to put new components in between, but there is a pitfall..... Component "101 name_101" will show up in between 10 en 20. So much for ordering by name

I created a Component " ....Everything else" which shows up on top of the list. In order to get it showing up at the bottom use "ZZ Component name".

Question is: Does manually sorting add value to your project? When you want to associate a component with an issue, just start typing and components will show up automatically.
