Conditional Custom Fields

Hi,

I created some custom screens with lots of custom fields but I can't figure out how to,

1 - Set up conditional questions - so for example, if I have a drop-down menu question with options YES/NO, if i select YES I want an additional question to come up in my screen, but if I select NO, I want the question to remain hidden and not made visible to the user filling out the form/screen.

2 - My screens have different tabs. Is there a way to show/hide tabs depending on where my issue is at within a workflow?

I'd prefer to do this with out of the box solutions, but if i need to use script runner I do have that available as well. I do not have a development background so the more info you can provide if it has to be script runner the better.
