We have tested Jira and Confluence together for the last 3 weeks, everything works fine except for using Jira as user management server for Confluence. Both Confluence and Jira has the same Administrator name with the same password. Confluence are running on a different server than Jira, and Application Links has successfully between those two applications, and show status as connected.
BUT still and after MANY different attempt to connect to the user management in JIRA from Confluence it has not been able to do so.
We always get the same error : Connection test failed. Responce from server: com.atlassian.crowd.exception.InvalidAuthenticationException: Application failed to authenticate.
What are we doing wrong, We are banging our heads against the wall here !
Hi @Town1965
Without guide this can be tricky. I want to help here.
Can you attach a Screenshot from Jira?
User Management -> Jira user Server -> Your application entry -> Edit
Best regards
Niklas
Thanks, I was not aware that you have to add the Confluence server there.
I did that, and now it is working. Thanks alot
