Configured custom columns, but they never show up

I have configured some custom columns for my Agile board, but I still see only the default 3. I've carefully followed all the instructions in the documentation. Is there a step I'm missing?

Hi,

Did you define a status to be displayed in the new created Columns? I think they are not visible, if they are not being used by an Issue-status

Hi all,

Yes I figured out that by ensuring a new status was assigned to each column, they did actually show up. Perhaps that should be more clear in the documentation.
