Hi @Maven,
You can connect your Jira Software instance with a Jira Service Desk instance using Exalate Jira to Jira Sync.
It's an app you can install as a Jira add-on to synchronize issue data in real-time.
You'll be able to easily customize exactly what you'd like to sync and who you'd like to sync it with.
That way, users on each side will be in the loop on progress status, comments, attachments and even work-logs or change history.
We are the developers of the Exalate app. So let us know if you need any help setting it up.
If you want, I can show you exactly how it would work for your use case through a one-on-one video-call. If that would be valuable to you, you can book one here: Book A Demo.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions at all.
Cheers,
Stefaan
This is a good place for help, but we're a community of end-users, not support.
You'll need to start by describing what you need in terms of help, then we can try.

Hi @Maven,
if you want to have Jira Software and Jira Servicedesk in one instance, just go to Cog-Menu->Application->Version and license. There you should be able to add Servicedesk to you Jira Software Installation. (You will need to get a trial license for Servicedesk).
After that, you can start setting up a new JSD Project next to your agile projects and you can then link issues from the ServiceDesk Projekt to the Software Projekt for example.
