Connecting Jira to Active Directory

sylvia ganovska April 16, 2012

I want to connect my Jira to Active Directory. My question is-Can I specify multiple groups for "Additional Group DN"?

For example:

OU=Groups, OU=New_Group1, OU=New_Group2 ..

Hi Sylvia,

It is not possible to have multiple "Additional Group DN" on JIRA's Active Directory integration configuration. You need to use the higher DN which contain all of the other necessary DN on your AD. Afterwards you should be able to configure JIRA to search certain DN only by configuring your "Group Object Filter" to search specific DNs:

For detail information on how to do this, please review this documentation:

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CROWD/Restricting+LDAP+Scope+for+User+and+Group+Search

Hope it helps.
