Continued notification even though I am not a member of the project and have unwatched all issues

I used to be on a Project in our instance and I am no longer project admin, I unwatched all items that I was watching but I continue receiving notifications. Moreover I am not getting any notifications due to  an @[deleted] mention in a comment. Its like unwatching doesnt work

It depends on how the notification scheme is set up.  There are many notifications that are sent beside watchers. For example, if you opened the issue (you are Reporter) and the scheme is set to notify Reporter when anything changes on the issue, you will receive notifications.

Thanks Dave, regretfully I was never even involved with the stories of which I am being notified, neither as a reporter, assignee or @[deleted] in the comments, etc.
