Copy Sprint value in custom text field and append updated values in this custom field.

Hi Team,

Whenever issue moves from Sprint to Backlog using Backlog transition, there is a post function that has been set up in the workflow to capture the Sprint value from where it is dropped. 

This post function copies value of Sprint field to Past Sprint custom text field.

Currently Past Sprint field shows only latest Sprint value. But we want to append the values updated in Sprint field to this custom field.

Any idea on how to achieve this? (We are using Jira Cloud)

Hi @Bhavikaa 

You can use Jira automation to accomplish it. (you don't need workflow transition Backlog with post function with this example). There is custom field Past Sprint which will handle all past sprints.

And whis is how this field will look like:
