Corrupted data after migrating to 8.0

Cyrille_Claustre March 4, 2019

Hello,

I've just updagred JIRA Core then JIRA Software to 8.0.

The server starts but I miss most of my issues (current sprint is showing empty and next one is listing only one issue instead of 10).

Another point is that when I start the instance, the first login shows instance check errors (collation, index, and so on) but if I go to the instance check module, everything's fine.

Shall I rool back to 7.13 ?

Regards

Hello,

Try to reindex your Jira.

cog item -> System -> Indexing

Hi.

Re-indexing again solved the problem.

I apologize for this, because I did a reindex but obvisouly there was a problem the first time and nothing changed.

Thank you very much.

Hi @Cyrille_Claustre ,

what database are you using ? and how did you perform the upgrade ?

Also, if you could check the logs for any line starting with ERROR it would help identify the issue.

Hi,

I'm using SQLServer 2017, the same database as for JIRA 7.13.

I did the "easy" update, using the installation wizard.

Got no ERROR line in my logs.
