Create GitHub Enterprise Branch from Jira Issue

Is it possible to create a GitHub Enterprise Branch from a JIRA ticket as it is possible with Atlessian Stash?

According to our documentation on Streamlining your development with JIRA the create branch function is only available in Bitbucket and Stash.

It looks like the plan is to not implement this feature for other flavors of GIT? https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-14386 Is this still the case?
