Create Issue Screen stays inactive for sometime if Project or Issue type is changed.

If I try to Create Issue from Create issue button and then when the create screen appears if I go and change the Project and the issue type the page greys out atleast for a minute then activates for further details.May I know the reason for this delay?

This will depend on a lot of variables, but the main ones are your server processor, the amount of memory JIRA have allocated and the disk speed.
