Create a confluence page with a Scriptrunner postfunction

Hi,

We are currently moving from server to cloud and we would like to create Confluence pages from the Jira workflow using Jira Scriptrunner.

I already found this example from Adaptavist, but that is working only if also Scriptrunner for Confluence is installed. https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4jc/latest/features/script-console/script-examples (at the bottom of the page).

There is mentioned, that I'll need to authenticate to do this if Scriptrunner for Confluence is not installed.

I have two questions now:

• How is this authentication done? I couldn't find an example in the Scriptrunner Documentation
• Is it still possible to create the page as the user that triggers the transition or do I have to use one user, that will be always the author?

I'm with Elements, and we just released a new app Elements Publish to Confluence that might meet your needs, and it doesn't require scripting. The app allows you to create a Confluence pages from Jira workflow.

Check out this article that explains how to create Confluence pages linked to Jira issues with the app.

You might want to have a look at Elements Publish to Confluence as an easier to set-up and maintain alternative.

If you have SR Cloud on both sides (Confluence and Jira), then https://library.adaptavist.com/entity/create-a-confluence-page-for-each-subtask-of-an-issue might be of some use...

thanks a lot.

Sadly, we do not have Scriptrunner for Confluence, but if it will make things a lot  easier, maybe I can convince them to get this also.
