Create a query to report total points per team per quarter for a certain type of work

We have 10 teams in our department.  They each have their own Jira board.  We'd like to create one initiative in Portfolio or Roadmap to represent Qtrly BAU work.  We would like each team to create an epic for their Qtrly BAU work, linking it to Portfolio with the parent link and linking all stories to the epic.  When the quarter ends, we'd like to run a query to identify the total number of points per team for the work for the quarter.  I've started with issueFunction in portfolioChildrenOf("key=x").  I get a list of the epics associated with this portfolio entry.  To get the detail / total points for the work associated with the epic......  can this be done?

You may want to try out our plugin Agile Tools - Epic Tree and Time in Status .

After you have linked your issues in parent child relationship, the Link Hierarchy functionality  will show the progress  at each level of your initiative. The progress is available for Time Spent vs remaining estimate or original estimate and rolled up story points are available for each stage

Along with this the plugin provides standard Jira Epic Hierarchy and multiple Time in Status Reports (more than 7 standard reports) to track your issues
