Hi,
I just created a brand new project for testing purposes and am using the JIRA cloud solution.
I have added 2 users to the project and have set them up as trusted users and added as administrators, and basically assigned to them every admin group or role available (or at least those available with a brand new installation of JIRA).
I am trying to create a new project component so that when an issue is created, it goes to the correct user straight away, however when creating a new component I cannot select component lead.
The 'component lead' drop down shows 'no results'.
I have not been able to find any specific information about what exact permissions I need to set in order to have users be added as component leads. Can anyone please shine some light about what is needed and what permission need to be added and how in order for a user to be added as a component lead.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Colin B ,
Did you type a text in the dropdown?
I think you have to type at least 3 characters for the user to appear.
Thanks Bryan, you are correct, you need to start typing a name before anything appears.

Hi Colin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You might want to check the Permission Scheme for the project and see what the permission is for Assignable User.
