When I create a issue type in the team managed project, I can add some generic text in the default description. However, I would like to have a table in this default description. Is there a way to add one?

I tried using the code ¦ a ¦ B ¦ c ¦ to create a table which works when creating automated subtasks - but this does not create the table in a new task of the newly created issue type.

Hello Jonas,

In the Issue Types settings, The Default Description cannot be edited because this field is created by Jira and therefore cannot be edited/renamed/reordered.

Having said that, while creating or editing an issue on the Team-managed projects, there is no option available right now to add a table using the toolbars available.

There is an open Feature Request for this matter. I noticed you've already found a workaround using Jira Automation and commented there, well done! It'd be really helpful if you could share the steps as well.

Regards,

Bariscan

Hello There:)

Thanks for your reply! I will share it on the other page in that case - and in my oppinion this should really be implemented - as it makes things so much easier in certain perspectives

Cheers
