Hi - I'm getting these types of messages when I create an issue:
"Your issue CE-39 has been created but is not currently visible"
The swim lanes have all the statuses accounted for. When I go to recently created tickets, they are not listed there either.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
I believe I have that setting: I'm in the group that has "Browse Project" access.
I can create a JIRA ticket, but after it's created I can't view it. Nor does it show up in the JIRA Kanban board.
Thoughts?
"I can't view it" - what message do you get when you try?

It may have been deleted or you don't have permission to view it right now.

I copied the permissions from another project (which works fine), switched the "Browse Project" group to this team and receive this issue now.

Ok, so you either have not got "browse" permission in the project (as described above), or there is a security level being set by an automation or script.
Can you eliminate the "browse" permission by re-checking the project's permission scheme? Does it clearly name you or a group or role you are in? If you're not sure, can you add "individual user: [you]" and see if you can now see the issue?

I added myself individually to the following:
"Browse Projects
Ability to browse projects and the issues within them.
"
and got the same issue.

Our comments crossed over, but "I copied permissions from another team" sounds like it fixed it by granting you browse on the project.

It's because your account does not permission to see the issue.
Could you show us the permission scheme for the project the issue is in, the header of the issue and the security scheme for the project (if any)

Let me know if there's anything else you need to see. I assume support is only through the community and not phone or screen share?

Ok, I can't see anything that would be doing this, unless you're not logging in as the user or a member of the group that is named in the "browse" permission (it looks like you are explicitly naming yourself)
So the other thing is to look at the issue security - is there an issue security scheme in place on the project?

Ok, so as I said, the issue security scheme is hiding it.

I just removed it to 'none'.
Thanks for your help! This took a while...JIRA configuration is rather confusing!

Please check status are correctly mapped to their respective column in board settings
as far as permission is concerned check for browse project permission under project permissions
make sure that you are having that permission
Project>project settings>permissions>browse project

You are creating the issues from a board that does not include them. The system is just warning you that the new issue won't appear on that board.
Forget the boards for a second, go have a look at CE-39 directly - does it look like a valid issue? If it does, then go back to the board you think it should appear on and look at the board filters - what in there is dropping/excluding CE-39 ?

Thanks for the quick reply Nic!
When I go directly to the URL, I then see:
The issue you're trying to view can't be displayed.
It may have been deleted or you don't have permission to view it right now.

I'm the admin on the account / system, so not sure why I can't see it. Thoughts?

Admin gives you admin rights. Not project rights. My thought is that you (temporarily) should add yourself to the project.

I'm in the Group assigned to 'issue reporter' role and also added myself individually as an Issue report. I was able to create the issue (with no error message), however the ticket isn't showing up on the Issues Reported by Me list (and not showing up anywhere else yet).
What am I missing?

You are missing the permission to see the issue.
You need to add yourself to the project, so that you match the criteria for the "browse project" permissions the project has.
