Creating a conditional required field in JIRA Cloud

As a product manager, I need to create a required conditional field that requires the user to choose an assignee for the required field. Example: Required question example: Has this epic/story/defect gone through a readiness review to ensure quality? if yes, please choose the person you reviewed with (email is sent to the person selected). If no, it will be required to choose from the dropdown who you want to schedule your review with.  

Required.. reply to the question, with a choice from the dropdown in order to create the story...

I can require the question but struggle to know how to include the dropdown choice as part of the required question and how to trigger the notification of the person chosen ..

any insights would be appreciated!

Hi Lisa,

There's no out of the box solution for that for Cloud. There's a new add-on called Behaviours by ScriptRunner, but not sure if it is out of beta or not. 

Otherwise you could make it mandatory on a transition, but not just when you set the field.

I would put the review into the workflow to assure it happens and then it can be assigned to the reviews who can move it on to the next step - the history will always keep that info for you.
