Creating a post function to resolve ticket

I have followed the instructions on how to edit a worfklow and set resolution, but I'm not able to do it. Can someone help me with setting a workflow status of "Released" to update the resolution?  Released and Will Not Do = Closed. Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth,

Here are the steps to set the resolution:

1. Go to Settings > Issues > Workflow

2. Find your workflow and click Edit

3. Find the transition to Done and click on it.

4. In the pop-up, click on Post Functions

5. Click Add post function

6. Click Update issue Field

7. Select Resolution in Issue Field dropdown

8. Select Done (or whatever value you like in the list) in Field value dropdown. 

9. Click Add

10. Publish the workflow.

This will not update the issues that are already Done. You will need to retroactively update those. You can follow this thread for instructions:

This worked; thanks very much. When following the directions provided in the Atlassian documentation is referenced dragging and dropping which I found confusing. I'm all set now; thanks for your help.
