Custom Field Default Value

I created a Custom Field called Release Version. I added VersionSelector as my default value. Field does not show on issue screen. When I edit Release Version field, click configure, click default value, default value displays None with no option to change. What step(s) have I missed?

You missed something about the screens I think, did you create a VIEW/EDIT screen that contains the field?

Also screens can have some Required fields, I think you want Released Version to be a required field.
