As far as I know it's not possible out of the box, but there are plugins you can use like :

Not sure if this is the only option - you have to search if there are free plugins that can do that....

Well you can add custom fields to issues. I was wondering if you can do the same for projects? For instance if I wanted to set a bugdet for a project. That doesn't exist. Can I add it?
