Custom Field Validator / Condition

Hey everyone,

I am pretty sure this has been answered somewhere but I did a fair amount of reading and have resorted to asking. I need to make a transition conditional on work being logged on a ticket. I basically want to avoid people from moving tickets without logging their portion of work. 

Is this possible without using a plugin?

If it is - how can I do it?

@[deleted]Just add a  validator   field required  then choose time spent on the issue transitions and add screen ( log work  system fields must be on the screen)on the transition , so  that time spent must be entered.

you can achieve this using field configuration scheme, make log work field mandatory and add this field on eh screen..
