Custom Field list in JIRA only shows a small number of custom fields

Ron Adkins April 26, 2018

After performing a re-index and removing some custom java script code from a few custom fields, we can no longer see the entire list of custom fields in the custom fields list.  I would attach a screenshot of this issue along with the backup file, but it doesn't seem I can do that for this SEN.

Thanks,

Ron

My guess is that when you "removed some custom javascript" (always a good thing to get rid of), you left some hanging.

A cut-off list of custom fields in the admin is a symptom of broken javascript.  Annoyingly, you're going to find that it is on the first field you can't see, and hence you can't get to it!

Try going to the fields via a Field Configuration.

Hi Ron. First, see if it is happening to another user or just you. If it is more than just your local machine/account, you might need to turn Jira off and on again. Another option would be to try clearing the cache with Scriptrunner. https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Built-In+Scripts#Built-InScripts-ClearJIRAorGroovyCaches
