Custom Fields for a Sprint

We are looking to track the dates that a sprint goes to UAT and then to Production.  Now I know that we can add a custom field to an issue.  However, this would involve updating each issue of a sprint with these dates.   When really all need is the dates recorded one time for the overall sprint.

This would allow to come back later and query a sprint and see that it went into UAT and Production on the dates stored.

It sound like you would need one 'tracking' issue to track the dates on. It could be it's own issue type with just a the summary and couple date fields.
