Hello,
I have created a new customized workflow in jira with few of the existing statuses and some new statuses as well.
My project already has 2 existing workflows. So my question is, when I want to implement the newly created workflow in my project, will it affect other projects/workflows or not?
Need an immediate answer, if possible.
Thanks,
Darleen.
Issue types can only have one workflow in a project. When you add the new workflow if you assign it to an existing issue type you will be replacing the workflow for that issue type. It will only affect the issue type you're modifying. If you're adding a new issue type and assigning the workflow to that there won't be any change to the existing issue types or workflows.

when you add the new workflow to the workflow scheme used by the project, you have to declare the issue type(s) which shall use the new workflow.
Existing issues of this type will receive the new workflow also, therefore you have to edit mapping rules then for every status which does not exist anymore in your new workflow.
E.g. if you had a status "ready for development" and this status does not exist anymore, you have to set a new "replacement status" for the old one.
This conversion will happen, when you change the workflow scheme.
