Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to establish a customer dependency for the user field. So, when I create a ticket, I can select the customer, and only the employees of the selected customer are displayed.
I can't make sense of the other posts in the forum.
I would appreciate it if you could help me.
Hi @Daniel Picksmeier , welcome to the Atlassian Community Forums!
The default method within Jira Service Management for controlling users and organizations is via the Organizations feature:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/group-customers-into-organizations/
You can set up Organizations, and then individual customers can be added to each organization.
Individual customer users can see their tickets as well as the other tickets available to their organization(unless the ticket's view has been restricted).
However, your question here sounds more like you have a Jira field (not Jira Service Management), and you want to make two fields dependent upon each other? In other words, depending upon what is chosen in the first field, the second field will only have certain options.
By default, Jira does not support such capability.
I recommend you check out ScriptRunner: https://scriptrunner-docs.connect.adaptavist.com/jira/
For example, here is a post in the forums that has information about using Script Runner to get a field name to set a form value: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/ScriptRunner-Behaviour-question-about-dependency-in-a-Custom/qaq-p/1956856
Hello @Daniel Picksmeier,
Welcome to the community!
Can you please explain it better, what do you mean by "and only the employees of the selected customer are displayed"?
Best regards,
Marko Blagus

Hello @Marko Blagus ,
thank your for your answer.
In our system, when we create a new ticket, there is a field called "Customer." I want that if I select Customer A, then in the User list, I can only select users who are also employees of Customer A. And the same for B. If I select Customer B, I want to see only the employees of Customer B in the "User" list.
I hope you can understand this from my attached drawing.
