Customisation of a field

Hello!

I need to add  template notes to the field Description for every bug issue. So every user can see Steps, Expected result & so on in Description field in bug issue.

Could you help me with the steps, please.

It's Aleksandra from Deviniti, an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner.

If you need to prefill the description of bugs with a predefined value, I think that one of available options is to use a dedicated template created with the help of our Issue Templates app. 

It allows you to create a repository of re-usable templates that may copy various fields' values, but also populate more complex structures such as epics with stories and subtasks. The app provides a dedicated screen in Jira where you can create a new issue from template and automatically prefill fields values with those defined in a template.

Hi Elena,

At the moment not really a way to do this on Cloud. On Server we used to do this with a Behaviour (Scriptrunner from Adaptavist), but this functionality is not yet developed on the Cloud version.

Good news however: They plan on releasing this end August 2022, but you would still need the app for that of course.
