Customize release notes for Versions released

Hi - I would like ot be able to add a filed to be gereated to the release notes that are created once a version has been released. If that is not possible. Is there another way to run a report with the info that is already entered in Jira, so we could produce such a report? Thanks for you help! Sophia Lidback
