Hi,

Each time we create a new scrum project we would like to have this template modified.

We've tried to create the project of an existing project but it copies the entire projects issues and history.

Should we create a default scrum project that we copy settings from?

Ideally, we are only trying to ensure that all project settings, columns, and statuses don't need to be redefined on a per-project basis.

I figured there would be a template within the Issue Type Schemes, Workflows, Workflow Schemas... however, I would expect them to be under Workflows or Workflow schemas, There are lots of "Software Simplified Workflows" which are exactly what I am looking for, however, no way to set any of them as a default, and none of them are a default template, they all are associated to a specific project.

Hi @Stephan Shere

If you have a project that has already been defined with all of the configurations that you want, then creating a project with shared settings (configuration of another project) is what you'll want to do.

Project settings and schemes will be directly inherited from the chosen project without any issues.

To create a project with a shared configuration:

  1. Select Projects > Create project in the navigation.
  2. Choose Classic project.
  3. Give your project a name.
  4. Select Advanced.
  5. Tick the Share settings with an existing project checkbox.
  6. Use the Choose project dropdown to select the project from which you want your new project to share its configuration..
  7. Select Create.
