DEMAND Option vs. Download

Can you start out using the DEMAN Option for Jira/Cofluence/Fisheye and then migrate to a Download Option environment in the futre?

How difficult is this for each product and the database and Subversion?

Atlassian has made the download version of Jira/confluence and Fisheye really easy to setup. If you're considering ever moving away from the onDemand version, I highly suggest you just start out with the download version.

While you can trigger backups and restore them between systems, it's not always as easy as it should be.

Moving from Demand to Download reguires a spot of planning too - Atlassian will give you exports of your data, but you'd need to talk to them about timing and resourcing
