Hi,

We want to integrate with GitLab through the Jira Cloud DVCS feature.

We are facing an awkward issue, let me give a brief some details;

-Our URL starts with HTTPS and domain similar to this pattern (gitlab.corpname.com).

-Sub domain(gitlab.corpname.com) is not accessible by publicly therefore the person who wants get in must login with VPN. However, the domain name (corpname.com) has the accessible by publicly.

What is our current problem is

"Error obtaining access token. Cannot access https://gitlab.corpname.com from Jira."

Can you give information what is our problem is related to?

Hello @Muhammet DORA

Welcome to the community.

You cannot connect Jira Cloud to an on-premise tool that is accessible only through a VPN. You will have to make your Gitlab system accessible on the internet and protect it using a firewall that will block all access except what you allow from Jira Cloud.

@Muhammet DORA We have a similar situation.  We have allow-listed the known Atlassian IPs for Jira and Confluence to get around this requirement.
