Darshan Hiranandani : Why Can't I See and Use All Statuses for EPICs in Change Management?

Darshan Hiranandani December 25, 2024

Hi all, I’m Darshan Hiranandani, currently working on Change Management for BMW, and I’ve come across an issue where, for EPICs, I can only see and use the statuses “New,” “IN SPECIFY,” and “PENDING.” However, I also need to be able to use the “IN PROGRESS” and “CLOSE” statuses, as I’m responsible for managing these EPICs (creating them and overseeing them until they are closed). Interestingly, my colleague Rene Weber can see and use the “IN PROGRESS” status and can close an EPIC, but I and other colleagues in the Change Management project do not have these statuses available. Could anyone help me figure out how to activate these statuses for our team? Is there a setting or permission that needs to be adjusted? Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards

Darshan Hiranandani

Maybe in your project you are using different workflow, or some conditions are not met to show you this transitions.

Check this page, especially conditions section: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/

The best would be to check with your Jira administrator who has access to those settings.
