Dashboard, dynamic filter: possible to limit dropdown results?

Hi,

is there a way to limit the number of items in the dropdown on a dashboard? For example for a big amount of Fix Versions.

Is it possible that this filter gadgets comes from a Marketplace app? The standard Jira Dashboard doesn't provide a controller gadget. 

If yes, my recommendation would be to reach out to the vendor of the app.
