Date Picker format

I've seen that you can manage (munge?) the format of the Due Date Field (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Changing+the+Due+Date+Input+Format) for the download version.

I don't see this disabled under the OnDemand? The format (10-Jun-12) is difficult to 10-key (eg: 10/06/12) if you know the date and don't want to use a mouse. I am pretty sure, as a rule, you try to stay on the home row and not the mouse.
