×Hi,
In general, do dates added with "//" turn red indefinitely?
Originally it seemed like when you add a checkbox infront of the date, and you tick the checkbox, the dates turn grey - even if they were in the past.
But it seems like when you refresh the page, the past dates turn back red again - even with the checkboxes ticked.
Is this how dates generally work? Or am I doing something wrong?
(Basically, I would like to keep track of which tasks missed their due date using checkboxes and dates)
Ah shucks, I realized I posted this question on JIRA QnA.
The issue is on confluence. Let me close this.
Hi @Saadman S_ Chowdhury In Jira, when a date field (like Due Date or Start Date) is earlier than today’s date, Jira automatically highlights it in red.

Hey there, thank you for the answer.
Just a quick clarification - the dates here have a checkbox infront of them.
In previous versions, I noticed that the past dates would become red if the checkbox was left unchecked. After checking the checkbox, the dates would become gray.
Right now I find that the first time I click the checkbox, the past date goes gray.
However, the date goes back to being red again after reloading the page.
I'm wondering if this is a bug or not.
(Attached screenshot showing the date going gray after checking the checkbox)
