Hello
I am new to Jira. I am currently working on designing a dashboard to show service desk statistics neatly, and 'screenshotable' for weekly/monthly reports with the directors.
I have created the dashboard and added the Pie Chart gadget. The issue is that it's showing tickets since the beginning of time and ideally I'd like two - one for weekly tickets raised, one for monthly tickets raised.
Is this possible?
As I said, I'm very new to Jira - and getting my head around everything has been a struggle.
Thanks
Connor
Hey Connor,
I get the feeling of being new to Jira. At first everything seems a little overwhelming but it gets better over time when you work with it a lot more.
What you want to do is unfortunately not possible with the pie chart but you can do this with the Time Since Chart. There you can also set the interval of monthly and weekly created tickets. This can then look like this:
I can always recommend trying all the options yourself to see what fits best for you.
Hope this helps
Johanna
And just a quick tip at the end: For especially pretty reports I can always recommend the Marketplace App Custom Charts for Jira. It has loads of reporting options, is easy to use (also for Beginners) and the reports make for an extra cool dashboard.
But for the beginning Jira Reports should be enough.
Thank you for mentioning Custom Charts for Jira, @Johanna Pichotka_APTIS_! :) We do our best to make them even prettier.

Welcome to the community and to Jira :)
If you're feeling quite lost with Jira and dashboards, you might probably be happy to hear that add-ons could save you lots of headaches.
Dashboard Hub for Jira - Reports & Charts, an app that we develop, lets you use a pre-built ITSM dashboard that can be set up in less than a minute (see the template live here!). Also, all the JSM gadgets are multi-project, which means that you can report all across your portfolio of projects.
If you want the best for your users, you can allow them to access a dashboard directly from the Customer Portal too.
Other features include JQL Custom Charts, sharing dashboards with secure links, +70 gadgets, beautiful interfaces, and much more.
Hope it helps :)
