Hey hey y'all,

We're having a similar problem to this one - https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/138017/long-delay-in-processing-incoming-email - except we're using jira on-demand.

There's no particular load on our mail-server, we're receiving maybe 2 mails a day but it's taking around 1 1/2 hours for an email to pop from our mailserver into a jira issue.

Any ideas?

Hello there,

Could you check the delay set on your Incoming Mail Handlers? JIRA by default checks for email every minute, but that setting can be changed and it could be set to a larger time delay than the default value. You can check that on https://example.atlassian.net/secure/admin/IncomingMailServers.jspa

If the delay is set correctly that could indicate a different problem entirely, so I would recommend you to open a ticket on https://support.atlassian.com so we can further troubleshoot it.

Hope it helps!

Regards,
Marlon

Sorry about my tardiness, but here goes - The delay is set to one minute so that ain't it. I'll throw up a ticket at the support site.

Cheers and thanks for a speedy answer.
