We just did a data refresh to our test environment to test out the latest release and some new addons. We did not pull over the attachments of all of the prod issues though as there is some PII data in the attachments and a fair bit of file space.
Since there are no files where the attachments expect them to be, we're seeing a health check warning. I can manually go ticket by ticket and delete all attachements, but we're talking about thousands of tickets to go through.
Is there a way to quickly delete all attachments from all tickets? Addon, script, SQL?
Thanks,
-Rick
Hello,
There is an improvement in the JIRA Atlassian for this request : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-11297
And maybe this add-on might be interested : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/ru.mail.jira.plugins.attachdeleter
For script solution, this discussion may help you : https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/321604
JRA-11297 and the attachdeleter both appear to focus on deleting attachments from a single issue.
I have a couple of thousand of issues that have pointers to attachments, none of which exist on the server. I want to delete all those invalid pointers.
I'll look through the script, but it appears to be a bit more extensive than what I was hoping for.
