Delete issue

Hello, we have made some duplicates which will affect the statistics, therefore we would need to delete them. Is it possible to delete issues in Jira?

Yes, it's possible to delete issues, but this is regulated by a project's permission schemes.

Usually, admins remove this permission from regular users or allow only administrators to delete issues. This is done because deleted issues can't be restored—if someone accidentally deletes an issue, it’s gone for good.

To change permissions (if you're an admin), go to Project Settings -> Permissions.
Then update the permission scheme and modify the "Delete Issues" permission.
Add the necessary project roles or individuals as needed.
