Using Jira Nex-gen.

Accidently deleted Subtask issue type from Project Settings - Issue Types. WHen I try to add it back, it doesn't let me create it as a child. It only lets me create regular issue types.

AM I missing something?

Hi,

So when you look at the issue types you don't see sub-task? And when you choose the option to create Issue Type, choose sub-task and call it Sub-task it won't let you save it? What if you try and save it a different name, just for grins?

It is possible even though you "deleted" it there is still some reference to it. You may have to use a different name if it won't let you put it back in.

Let me know if that helps, or send me a screen shot of the error and I can try and replicate in my test instance.

Thanks Al. It was still in the system to be referenced. Evidently for whatever reason 9probably user error) we were not seeing it before. We see it now and we added it back and things working as expected.

thanks
