Deleting attached document from work items - is it permanent?

Hello, I was asked by a Jira user that if they delete attached documents from a Jira work item if the documents are permanently deleted with no ability to retrieve.  The data contains sensitive information and would like to make sure it is indeed permanent if he deletes it.  Thank you in advance.

Hi @John Bradley 

Yes if you delete an attachment from an issue, you can't retrieve this.

If you want the attachment to be on the issue again, you would need to upload it again.

Any attachment that is deleted is permanently deleted, you cannot recover it.
