Description field not visible

In Jira Cloud
The "Description" field is not visible.

See that the old view also shows "Description".

Could this be a bug?

How can we fix it?

I have the Jira site administrator role.

Check if the field is present in the desired screen. For example

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
