I have users that are getting errors ("Something's gone wrong" Our team has been notified...
when they try to add additional watchers to tickets they have both created and those they have not created.
The permissions for Watchers is permitted for anyone in our company that is logged in as a User. Some people can do it and others cannot.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Are the users using Internet Explorer to add the watchers ? If so, please ask them to follow the steps as documented in this ticket, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ID-6297
